Michael
Brothwell presents two programmes on BBC Radio York, North
Yorkshire Folk and the Sunday Set.
I'm not quite sure why anyone would be particularly interested
in reading anything about me, so I'll keep this short. I try
and see at least two live acts a week and spend far too much
money on cds.
My
dream and ambition in life has always been to give air-time
to great music from a wide range of genres.
I
really dislike the wallpaper radio stations that clog the
airwaves, and am delighted to be part of BBC Radio York, which
has such exciting and eclectic output.
In
my time on air I try and showcase as much local talent and
get as many live sets on as possible.
It
would be brilliant if you could find the time to tune in and
let me know what you think.

The
Sunday Set
Sunday Set- a new show for Sunday afternoons with Michael
Brothwell
If
you're one of those people who loves music, but finds it difficult
to define exactly what type you like, then this might be the
show for you. Every week, we play a wide selection of tracks
from famous albums, live recording and local artists.
There's
also a chance for you to pick three of your favourite tracks
in Three Out Of Three Ain't Bad, and win a fabulously extravagant
mug in one of our intellectually stimulating competitions.
So
why not join us every Sunday from 4 until 6 for Sunday Set-
the show that's exclusively for people who care about music.
