Our
team of reporters are out finding the issues and events that
matter to people across the county.
Dorset’s
BBC local radio station makes two commitments to the area.
Firstly, we bring you all the top news stories.
Reporting
Dorset ...
"Its a wonderful part of the world - but its not
only picture postcard scenery, people here have a fierce
pride about the area and feel very strongly about issues
that affect their community - that's why its such a great
place to live and work." |

There
is a dedicated service of Dorset news and information bulletins
on the 103.8 frequency every hour .
The
second commitment is to reflect the daily life of Dorset in
all BBC Radio Solent’s programmes across the station - beit
the Tarrant Hinton Steam Fair, Weymouth Triathlon or West
Dorset Food Week - we're at the events that make Dorset such
a unique place to live.
The
service is supported by a team of BBC journalists across Dorset,
including Trevor Bevins, and Jonathan Hudston at the Princes
Street bureau in Dorchester as well as Steve Humphrey and
Richard Drax working out of Bournemouth and Poole.
In
addition, we have launched a new website dedicated Dorset.
