When Andy got his first job in radio back
in the 1960s on the pirate station Radio caroline, little
did he realise that nearly 40 years later he'd be presenting
a programme broadcast all over the world via the internet.
Born in 1946 and education at Terrington
High School and West Norfolk College of Art & Technology,
Andy joined Radio caroline in 1967 following a period in the
Royal Air Force.
Andy was the drivetime presenter on one of
the first commercial radio stations in Britain, Radio Orwell
in 1975. He also worked for commercial stations in Guildford,
Exeter, Canterbury and Leicester. In
1981 Andy became Programme Director of Radio Nova in Dublin.
He answered the call of Aunty and joined
the BBC in 1996 as a presenter with BBC Radio Suffolk before
moving to Radio Norfolk in 1997.
