Judges' view in full:
The judges
feel this is a really nice garden with such a beautiful surrounding and
with a calm and tranquil atmosphere.
The ladies
of the almshouse tend to the garden and keep it looking good. They have
very little funding to keep the gardens so they invite the community in
to join them for coffee mornings.
Even the
Women's Institute help out by using the lawn for croquet to raise funds.
The choice and the age of the plants in the garden gave it a really well-established
feeling.
