Lindsay
- a Scouser and proud of it - then came to the Midlands and
joined Beacon Radio.
From
there she worked at BBC Radio WM before joining Midlands Today
five years ago.
Lindsay
enjoys production, but her favourite aspect of the job is
being out on the road covering anything from complicated court
cases to exceptionally large donkeys?
Her
first day at Midlands Today has definitely been her most memorable.
She
was sent out to film some cows who'd been electrocuted in
a thunder storm.
Her
cameraman was delayed filming at another location.
It
was a boiling hot day and the farmer was anxious to move the
animals.
As
soon as the cameraman arrived the heavens opened and torrential
rain ensued.
On
the way back to Pebble Mill, the electrics on her car died
in a huge puddle.
After
pushing it to the side of the road, looking like a drowned
rat, she hitched a lift back to the studio with a West Bromwich
Fire Crew who'd witnessed her plight.
Soaking
wet, after safely delivering the tape, she got into the lift
to get a coffee from the canteen and... it broke down.....she
was stuck there for an hour and a half.
And
to top it all... it was her birthday!
Lindsay,
clearly not short of a drama or two, has ambitions to star
in the remake of Gone With the Wind.
In the absence of this, she's content with reading, theatre,
country walking, Liverpool Football Club and the odd glass
of chilled Chablis.
