After graduating she joined the BBC at Pebble Mill in Birmingham as a reporter on Radio 4, particularly working on You & Yours, Checkpoint and Woman’s Hour.

She then set her sights on television, joined the Midlands Today team, and has been happily presenting the news programmes ever since.

As a freelance outside the BBC she works on corporate videos, voice overs and all the sometimes unusual things presenters get asked to do!

She is a Warden of the Birmingham Assay Office, a Director of the Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre and a Patron of Acorns Children's Hospice.
