The Director's cut
The main control point for all our programmes is the Gallery,
it is here that all the component parts of the programme are
'stitched' together in a seamless way.

This is where the director sits, deciding which
camera shot to use and which video tape (or "VT"),
to go to next.
The TV screens in front of
the director each show something different. One shows what
is 'on-air' at the moment, another shows what is ready to
go to next

The
end of the show, rejoining the network
This is a recording of a 1330
edition of Look North. You can hear the director giving instructions
to the presenter; the network timings assistant (or PA as
we call them) counting down to the next item, and all of what
you hear is what the presenter hears.
