The
January judge is Tony Richards.
Tony is a keen amateur photographer who lives with his family
in the lakedistrict.
Nearly
five years ago Tony (who is a computer specialist) set up
his web
site and undertook to post photographs of the lake
district on to his site everyday.
At
first, when it was a poor day for photography he posted better
pictures from his photo library but soon realised that what
the people, from all around the world who viewed his site
regularly, wanted, was a true day to day picture of the lakes
- so if its rain and fog, he posts pictures showing it as
it is.
The
site has attracted nearly 5m hits, astonishing for a private
website.
The
monthly search for top local weather pictures is underway.
