The February judge is Julie Ballands, who is the Education and Outreach Officer for Tyneside Cinema, and programmer for Side Cinema, both in Newcastle. She also mixes her own visuals for local live bands.
Julie has extensive experience in talent spotting Northeast filmmakers and touring their work around the region, often to community venues which would not otherwise be served by cinema facilities.
