April
judge
The
April competition is judged by Harry and Martha Hall who are
artists from Thorngrafton in Northumberland.
Harry
works mainly in oils and specialises in landscapes, currently
working on a series of paintings of Hadrians Wall. He
likes to work on location.
Martha
works largely from photographs since her subject matter of
small wildlife, which she paints in watercolours, tend not
to like to pose for too long!
April winner
Harry and Martha Hall loved the way Stephen Coleman had captured the swans in the fleeting morning mist and the way the light flooded into the picture, highlighting the grass in the foreground. They also loved the composition of the photo, with the swans places slightly off-centre.
