Arthur Allan is a 39-year-old freelance corporate writer from Edinburgh. He was attracted to the Alexei Sayle story beacuse of the wealth of possibilties it presented. He once did a course on erotic writing on a Greek island - he says it wasn't that erotic but it kick-started his passion for writing!

Ben is a 37-year-old counsellor form Brighton. Ben has been writing since an early age, filling up many notebooks and floppy disks, but this is the first competition he's ever entered. Ben loves Alexei Sayle and decided to complete his story before he'd even read it.
