Profile
Ed McBain has been writing crime fiction for over 50 years. His bestselling novels include Ice, Candyland and The Frumious Bandersnatch. Ed has also written screenplays, most notably Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds. In 1998, he was the first non-British author to be awarded the Crime Writers’ Association/Cartier Diamond Dagger Award. He’s a recipient of the Mystery Writers of America’s coveted Grand Master Award and the Sherlock Award for Best International Detective. Ed lives in the United States.
