The BBC Embedded Media Player is the new standard audio and video player for BBC content across the internet. The BBC has come up with this solution to make viewing and listening to BBC content easier and to improve the BBC experience on non-BBC sites. It can be used on PCs, Macs and Linux operating systems.
Among the other features are the ability to play in full screen mode, a volume control button, a counter (both time elapsed and programme duration) and a share menu which allows you to send the item to a friend or bookmark it.
The BBC wants to provide easy access to its audio and video content. As a result, the BBC is allowing other websites to offer BBC material within a BBC player, so that more people can enjoy it in a way that suits them.
The Player contains a link to a BBC website where you can find out more about the content or watch/listen to the show in full.
The BBC is not responsible for the content of sites that display the Player.
The BBC offers the Player to non-BBC websites subject to specific BBC terms. The Player should only appear on sites which agree to these terms. For example the Player may not be embedded into sites that cause harm or offence.
If you think that BBC content should not be appearing on this website then please contact us and we will review.
