A brand new film on Bob Dylan, containing rare, never seen before footage.

In two years from 1963 to 1965, Bob Dylan metamorphosed from the fresh faced cherub singing Blowing in the Wind to the incisive rock'n'roll shaman who blew pop music apart with Like a Rolling Stone. Murray Lerner's film chronicles that extraordinary transformation through Dylan's performances at the succeeding Newport Folk Festivals of '63, '64 and '65.

Presented in association with the BBC's Arena, and complete with previously unseen renditions of some of his greatest early songs, this is truly a portrait of the genius as a young man.

release details

The Other Side of the Mirror will air on BBC Four Sunday 14 October as part of BBC Arena and will be released on DVD 29 October.
