Classroom Ideas

Can be used during a module on rivers. Students should make an annotated diagram of a meander bend. They should label a river cliff, a slip off slope, the fastest flow and the slowest flow. They should then be able to explain how helicoidal flow assists in the development of a meander bend. Finally, they should note down the theory of riffles.
