The Montréal Insectarium is putting on an exhibition to give people the chance to try the taste of insect. A chef talks enthusiastically about his job and the ways he could branch out into new menus after seeing the visitor's reactions to dishes like grilled grasshopper.

Use to discuss food choices around the world and provide reasons as to why people eat insects as part of their diet. From there, this could lead to a food tasting activity whereby students are given the opportunity to taste French delicacies, eg les cuisses de grenouilles, les escargots and les fromages. Alternatively this would make an interesting introduction to the topic of eating out, leading to a discussion and comparison of menus from restaurants that serve different types of cuisine.
