Classroom Ideas

Students could investigate why dams are necessary and how they are used as a form of river and flood control. A useful activitiy would be for students to identify the advantages and disadvantages of dams, focusing on developing countries. Ask students to write a letter to the Lesotho authoritues explaining what they would advise them to do.
