Professional dancer and acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan highlights rhythm, strength and focus as vital in Kathak dance. He explains jugalbandi, which is based on using the choreographic device 'Question and Answer' through improvisation. Khan explains and illustrates how he approaches the teaching of rhythm and footwork. He also explains how he fuses Kathak and contemporary dance in his piece 'Loose'.
