Classroom Ideas

This clip could be used in a discussion about moral evil. Pupils could identify the philosophical ideas about the origin of evil before watching the clip. Then they can discuss whether the perpetrators of the Holocaust were evil in themselves or being driven by an evil being. "What about those who let it happen? Are they also evil?" Ask students to watch the clip and to identify one piece of information they already knew and one thing that surprised them. Talk about the things that surprised them and ask them to suggest what there is for them to learn from this today.
