Classroom Ideas

This clip could be used to demonstrate the significance of the 5 Ks in Sikhism. Before viewing, ask the class the following questions: Who belongs to a club? What clubs do you belong to? Do you have to wear any special outfits when you go to these clubs? Why is this outfit special? What does it show? After the clip, bring out the actual five objects. Ask a volunteer to try them on. Ask the class to draw each item and write a short description of them. As a follow-up, pupils could draw their favourite outfit and explain why it is relevant to them.
