This clip could be used in DT work based on fastening two pieces of material together. The teacher could ask the children to design their own cushion cover and then make them using the relevant sections of the clip. In addition to this, the children could write a set of instructions to go alongside their making of the cushion, illustrating and using bossy verbs. Could also be used to demonstrate key skills like cutting, measuring, stitching and fastening. The teacher could pause the clip at each of these sections and then the children could practise these skills.
