Classroom Ideas

This clip can be used to study rhythm, rhyme and repetition in poetry. Ask the children to watch the clip and discuss the rhythm, rhyme and repetition and the effect it has in the poem. Using their imaginations, ask the children to consider what the ‘something out there looking at you’ mentioned in the poem could be referring to. Using the same rhythm, rhyme and repetition as identified in the poem, the children can write their own poem about the 'being' that is mentioned in the poem as ‘something out there looking at you'.
