Classroom Ideas

Stop the clip after 1 minute 13 seconds. One character says he has 10p. The other character has four coins. In pairs give one child 10p and the other child four coins. Ask the children to decide who has the most money. Challenge the children to find four coins that have the same value as the 10p coin. Watch the remainder of the clip. From this starting point explore if it is possible to make 10p with 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 coins.
