Classroom Ideas

This clip can be used to discuss the perceived impacts of illegal immigration from Mexico to the USA and how the flow of illegal immigrants can be reduced. There is an apparent unfairness which irritates a group of US citizens and fosters resentment. As a result they have formed a 'monitoring group' called the Minutemen. Students could consider the implications of this approach on both the political landscape and what is often a blurred line between monitoring and direct action.
