Classroom Ideas

When beginning a topic on materials, this clip could be used as a starter in two ways: to assess children’s current knowledge about materials and their properties and to recap the variety of materials used by humans, their properties and how this links to their design purpose. Alternatively, it could be used during a plenary to assess children’s ability to identify a range of materials discussed during the lesson.
