Classroom Ideas

Students of 'Hamlet' and other Shakespeare tragedies will need to consider the placing of comic scenes in otherwise serious plays and this clip provides a good starting point. The theme of death is also key to this and other tragedies. The modern interpretation (featuring a fluorescent jacketed municipal gravedigger) can also be a focus for discussion especially if there are other versions of the play to be compared.
