Description

Turbo from Alesha’s Street Dance Stars teaches a floor move that comes from house dance. He demonstrates the move slowly with clear directions focusing on how to lower yourself down to the floor and then immediately push your body back up from a sitting position. Music is then added and the movement is performed a further four times.

The movement can be broken down and incorporated into any dance piece, for floorwork or to act as a transition between sequences. Hips must lead the way on the "resurrection" back up. This move demands strength in the arms for first part and strength in the arms, legs and back for pushing up.
