Classroom Ideas

This clip could be used to introduce students to the festival of Diwali. Students could be divided into five groups - one group for each of the five senses. In these groups, students should outline what Diwali is like for that sense. That is, what are the tastes, sights, smells, sounds and feelings of Diwali. Students could then think of a special celebration of their own that they could describe and draw. Some students could be chosen to present theirs to the rest of the class.
