Classroom Ideas

Use this clip to show how ordinary events and childhood games can be brought to life by detailed description. Children could write about their own games in this way. Ask children to look for evidence in the clip to show that it is set in World War 2. Compare the clip with the book by Michael Foreman and ask how they are similar or different and which is most effective. Useful in cross curricular work about the Second World War.
