Classroom Ideas

Could be used to introduce an unusual hobby organised in the Pyrenees, where people gain the skills to look for gold. A listening activity could involve finding out reasons for tourists to choose this as their holiday destination or hobby, or reasons for the trainer to organise such an unusual training. Another way to approach it would be to listen for mentioned advantages and drawbacks, and turn to a speaking activity about added pluses and minuses the pupils can think of. As a last activity, pupils could make up a glossary of unusual ideas for a holiday, and it could be a creative guided dictionary activity.
