Classroom Ideas

The cuatro tuning is similar to the intervals used on the ukulele. Can the students explain how the tuning is different? Can they identify the rhythm in other examples of Latin American music? What other instruments can they name which look similar to a guitar, but have different numbers, or tuning of strings?
