Classroom Ideas

Pupils could look at the journeys that they take and the mode of transports they use. What are the pros and cons of these types of transports? Why do they use the car rather than the bus? This could be compared with the use of differing modes of transports in places such as London and even America. Introduce the idea of community transport and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this. This could be linked to global warming and the effect that community transport may have on this. Children could create persuasion films or adverts to publicise community transport.
