Classroom Ideas

A follow up session after watching this clip could be during a PE lesson during which pupils follow a sequence of activities such as skipping, throwing and catching, shuttle runs and relays. They could then describe each activity using the key direction words. A challenge activity might be to write instructions for each activity or match each direction word to the various actions. Another fun activity would be for pupils to work in pairs, asking one to close their eyes whilst the other pupil gives them instructions (using direction words) to locate an item in the classroom.
