A flavour of Jason Ibi's approach to fashion is shown from drawings, collages and research within his sketchbook work. Ibi is seen preparing his fashion collection for a catwalk show with reminders of his sketches linking to the clothes that he has designed. The clip is interspersed with images by Japanese artist Hokusai to show his influence on the designs.

Classroom Ideas

The class could research artists from different backgrounds and cultures. Pupils could then choose one artist to research further and produce a design for a piece of clothing influenced by their work. This clip could also be used to investigate possible careers in the arts and progression from higher education.
