Description

Kathy Myers, a Christian doctor, presents an argument against the legalising of assisted dying. This would, she thinks, challenge the relationship of trust between doctor and patient and remove the incentive to invest in improving the quality of palliative care for those with terminal illnesses. Christian compassion should lead to the improvement of palliative care rather than ending life. Those requesting termination of life have nearly always changed their minds when their quality of life has improved.
