Classroom Ideas

The characters feel lots of different emotions during the story. Provide the children with a list of emotions (happy, scared, caring, worried, angry, lonely, tired, protected, pleased). The children could identify which characters felt these emotions and when. Questions could be asked about what the story teaches Jewish people, why the travellers didn't want to stop, why Joseph was travelling and why the lion didn't attack Joseph.
