Before watching the clip, pupils could be asked to discuss any traditional local festivals they may have been to. After watching the clip, pupils could go over the description of the traditional costume and produce some display work labelled in French. Pupils could be asked to match up the names of the different themes with pictures. Pupils could discuss the link between blacksmiths and horses. Pupils could be encouraged to pick up on key words, cognates, tone of voice and facial expressions.
