Classroom Ideas

As children become confident with negative integers, they could order temperatures of different places including those with temperatures below zero such as the Arctic circle and Russia over winter. Pupils may be challenged to identify the difference in temperature between countries. Pupils could order measurements above and below sea level. Fun games in an open space could include pupils using dice rolls to determine how many steps they jump forwards or backward over zero.
