Classroom Ideas

After watching the clip, ask students to work in pairs to offer some first thoughts about starting a new religion. For each feature they identify, they should provide two or three reasons why they think their idea would work well.

To start them off suggest they respond to the following features that religions tend to have:

a) something to believe in, answers to big questions;
b) celebrations for special events;
c) a guide to living the good life;
d) a place and pattern of worship.
