Classroom Ideas

Can be used during a module on rivers. Students should make an annotated diagram of a waterfall, labelling hard and soft rocks, overhang, plunge pool and gorge. They should then explain how the processes of corrasion and attrition contribute to the formation of the deep plunge pool. Finally, they should attempt to explain the formation of gorges and pot holes.
