Classroom Ideas

Could be used to encourage creativity when generating ideas for a product. Students could be provided with a variety of natural forms, such as leaves or pictures of animals. They should select one to use as inspiration to design a product, such as a hand held controller for a video game. After sketching their initial ideas, they could be provided with modelling clay or foam to develop a model of their design. Students could also carry out research to identify other products that have been inspired by natural forms.
