Bedtime Story Contest

A Derby lass has won our bedtime story competition - you can listen to her tale here, along with the runners-up from across the East Midlands.

As part of the BBC's RaW campaign - the biggest-ever campaign to help adults across the UK read and write better - we had some cracking bedtime stories.

The grand winner was five-year-old Megan Cork from Ripley for her story "Princess Lydia's Lost Smile".

Leicester's winning story "Sasha Gets Lost in the Shops" by Ishaani Ami Kotecha and Mina Kotecha came second.

Nottingham's winner came third and Lincolnshire fourth in our search for new writing talent.
