The congestion debate

The state of the region's transport system and what needs to be done to improve it is the topic at our special congestion debate. Watch the debate now.

Congestion Charge Emissions

High emission charges

Cars in band G include the Jaguar X-type 2.0 saloon, Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe 3.6 and BMW X5 4.8 litre

They emit more than 225g of CO2 per kilometre

Will be charged £25 for entering the congestion charge zone

Low emission charges

Car bands A and B include the Honda Insight petrol-electric hybrid, Smart diesel and Toyota Prius 1.5 litre petrol-electric hybrid

They emit less than 120g CO2 per kilometre

Will be free to enter the congestion charge zone
