In 2001, Phil Mitchell took a bullet outside his house, after a spate of villainy and dodgy dealing left him with a string of enemies ready to take him down. The identity of his would-be killer remained a mystery for months, until the shooter was revealed to be former girlriend Lisa Shaw. She'd gunned him down for sleeping with her best mate. Harsh.
