Desperate measures at the Vic

Mon 22 Oct 2007

Peggy takes drastic action as her debt problems worsen. Patrick's attempt to boost Heather's self-esteem backfires.

Peggy and Ronnie

The Vic’s out of lager. Peggy's forced to confess that she’s borrowed money from the business and had to cancel the order. Later she’s visited by a debt consultant, who tries to make her sign over the pub.

Masood

The Masoods' furniture still hasn’t arrived and Zainab’s had enough. Unbeknownst to Zainab, Masood buys Peggy’s old furniture, but he’s only just got it into number 41 when the removal men arrive with the delayed delivery.

Heather

Heather’s shiny hotpants earn her some unkind remarks. In an attempt to buoy her confidence, Patrick asks Garry to pay her a compliment. Garry nervously obliges, leaving Heather convinced that he fancies her after all.

Mickey, Masood and Jase

Mickey thinks he’s secured work decorating the Masoods’, but Jase beats him to it. They agree to share the job. Later, an old friend of Jase’s turns up and asks if his new mates know of his violent past.

Jase

Dawn’s furious when Jase trips over Summer’s pushchair, breaking it. Later, he brings her the cash he’s earned decorating so that she can get a new one.

Dot

Stacey entrusts the wedding invitations to Mo. A mix-up means they are taken to the launderette with a bag of sex toys that Mo had for the hen do. Horrified, Dot throws the lot out.

Tanya

Tanya and Rachel can't help exchanging catty comments when the family meet in the Vic. Out of earshot Max propositions Stacey, who tips her drink down him.

Peggy and Sean

Peggy sends Roxy and Ronnie out for the evening. During the night Peggy disturbs a break-in at the Vic. It’s Sean. She orders him to hit her and make it look convincing.
