
Dennis quizzes Chrissie about the night she supposedly stayed at the Slaters. Jake defends her. They arrange to meet at the Vic. Pauline remarks to Sharon that Chrissie isn't behaving like grieving widow.
Billy tries to get hold of Sam's solicitor. He's feels that there's been an injustice. Pat reminds him that Chrissie was released by the police. Billy's adamant that the Square should know the truth.
Jake wants Billy to apologise to Chrissie for mouthing off in the Vic. Billy informs Jake that she was trying to sell the pub before Den's body was found. He wonders why Jake's standing by her.
Kat reveals to Stacey that she asked Alfie to make a go of it, but he turned her down. She feels an idiot. Stacey insists that there must be more to his decision. She thinks Kat deserves an explanation.
Alfie confesses to Ian that Kat asked him to marry her. He admits that it broke his heart to turn her down. He feels terrible. Ian believes he was right to make a decision finally.
Dennis feigns surprise when Jake admits he didn't know about Chrissie's plans to sell the Vic. He questions how well Jake knows her. Jake insists that she couldn't have killed Den on her own.
Chrissie's frustrated when her buyer for the pub pulls out. She reveals to Sharon that she's moving back into the Vic. Sharon asks about her relationship with Jake. She's surprised that Chrissie's able to carry on as normal.
Kat confronts Ian. She wants to know what Alfie thinks of her. She's angry that he trampled on her heart. Ian lets it slip that Alfie was worried about hurting her. She's realises that he planned it.
Kat shouts at Alfie. She wants to know why he strung her along and then dumped her. She wonders if there's another woman. He denies it. He wants to draw a line under their relationship. She runs off crying.
Dot stalls during her test. She assumes she's failed. The instructor urges her to continue. Meanwhile, Jim organises champagne to greet Dot after her test. Sharon's baffled that Chrissie's agreed to hold a celebration.
Billy shares his views of Chrissie with Jim and Patrick. He believes that she took revenge for Den's infidelity, and questions the existence of the 'Dagenham woman'. Pat urges him to stop gossiping and to think of Sam.
Kat reveals to her family that she's going to stay with Zoe. She needs to get away. They're baffled by her sudden decision. She checks that Stacey's okay with the alibi. Stacey pretends that she's fine.
Sam calls Billy from prison. She can't handle it anymore. He wants to call Peggy, but Sam makes him promise not to. He assures her it'll be over soon. Sam breaks down. Meanwhile, Dot announces that she's passed her test.
Jake's hesistant to join Chrissie upstairs. She kisses him, but he pulls away. He doesn't think it's right. He assures her that he'll support her. Pauline spots them laughing. She remarks to Sharon that Chrissie's moved on quickly.
Alfie reveals to Ian that he still loves Kat, and wants her as a friend. Ian thinks Alfie wants to have his cake and eat it. He reminds Alfie that he's seeing her sister. Alfie's determined to keep Kat in his life.
Alfie takes Kat to one side. He wants to sort things out, so that they can be best mates again. Kat's stunned by Alfie's cheek. She turns and announces to everyone that she's leaving Walford for good. Alfie's shocked.
