He's an all round athlete who can ski, play tennis, run, ride and scuba dive.

Recently, Ross starred in the second episode of Ricky Gervais's BBC comedy series, Extras. He played a deluded actor obsessed by the SAS.

He's had roles in a number of gritty TV dramas, including In Defence, Without Motive, The Crooked Man, Hero of the Hour and the action packed SAS series Ultimate Force.

In 2003, Ross starred as Cinne in the American remake of the 1960's epic film Spartacus. He also had a leading role in the thriller, Line in the Sand, aired on TV in 2004.
