About Kara Tointon

Kara was born in Basildon, Essex and grew up in Southend.

Kara was voted no. 27 in FHM magazine's list of "100 Sexiest Women".

Her little sister, Hannah, is an actress too and has appeared in Hollyoaks and The Bill.

Kara loves fashion. She's relieved that Dawn's wardrobe is more varied and glamorous than certain other members of the Miller family.

Kara's first TV role was as an extra on EastEnders - she played a mate of Sonia's when she was 13.

She played Gina in two series of Dream Team.

She's also appeared in Teachers and Night and Day

Kara's had several film roles, including Boudicca and The Football Factory

She has also done adverts for a number of companies, including McDonalds.
