About Ameet Chana

As a youngster, Ameet entertained his friends with his Michael Jackson impressions.

Ameet played cricket, hockey and football at school but has little time for them now. He hosted the British Asian Sports Personality of the Yearin 2002.

Ameet was inspired to take up acting by watching Grange Hill. He enrolled in a Sunday acting workshop when he was 13.

His favourite actors are Ray Winstone and Kathy Burke.

He played Pooja Shah's boyfriend in an episode of Holby City.

Ameet's best known film role came in Bend It Like Beckham.

Other credits include The Drive, The Wild West and Princelet of Golum Street. He's also appeared in several plays, such as Wicked Year, Balti Kings, The Skeleton, Ungrateful Dead, Crazy Horse and Papa Was A Bus Conductor.

On TV, Ameet has been in The League of Gentlemen, Teenage Health Freak, Doctors and Holby City.
