"I love this series. The script writers are very brave, tackling up-to-the minute issues of war with Iran, US duplicity, and so on. I'm not sure that MI5 are squeaky clean and not controlled by the government, as is implied, and Aurora couldn't shadow an airliner as it's a Mach 5 interceptor, but hey, that doesn't matter, this is entertainment at its best."

"Another fantastic episode that managed not to stray into X-files territory despite indications it might. Lots of little pointers back to previous episodes and some superb character moments. Hugh Simon as Malcolm was excellent - a real pleasure to see him allowed off the Grid. His scenes with Adam (Rupert Penry-Jones) were brilliant.
This episode shows Spooks is very much on form – it’s retained its sense of humour and is more of an ensemble piece than the last series. Here's hoping it continues like this."

I like that Adam isn't mentally unstable any longer but still has his problems and issues manifesting themselves in the Anna/Ros relationship mess. Well done for not giving into the temptation of returning Adam to us all happy and shiny after a couple of counselling sessions."

"Fantastic, high-octane, thrilling. Loved that Malcolm got to have a go at being a hero and I really love Connie. What a character - strong, amusing, bossy, and capable. I like that the latest addition to the team is an older woman who commands respect. The field spies do have a tendency to be 20 or 30 somethings who could moonlight as models. Not that I'm complaining, but it's also good to have a bit of balance. Connie should be good for the very pressurised Harry."

"This was possibly the best episode. The story was tight, tense, and intriguing.
Both Connie and Ros were ace, and I am really looking forward to seeing the Yalta storyline develop.
Also, Sir Harry Pearce! Need I say more? The scene where he tells the psychologist he's missing someone (clearly Ruth) has to rate as one of the sweetest, most poignant scenes ever."

"Another classic episode, with the perfect mix of action, drama and look into the personal lives of our heroes.
Harry's psychiatric evaluation was both moving, with what I assume was a reference to Ruth, and highly amusing, especially the remark about chocolate buttons.
The scene with Harry distracting Bob while his team infiltrated the base was priceless, and the line from Harry about seeing a cat had me in stitches.
Jo's character has developed a great physical and mental strength, along with her new spy skills. The interview of her ex-boyfriend with Ros, showed how much she's grown. The fact that Jo and Ros have a new-found respect for each other seems much more realistic than last season's bickering.
It was good to see Malcolm's character getting out of the Grid. His courage finally breaking through his usual nervousness. Fans will remember him freezing during the bomb disarming in series 4 episode 10, and his conversation with Ruth afterwards. Bravo writers for allowing him to redeem himself at last."
